Besides making your hero look cool, pieces of equipment you wear also make him stronger! Each equipped item has its own (HP, SP, ATK, DEF, LUCK), which are added to hero’s base attributes. Some items also have their own special effects.

Some unique effects found in the items include the following:

  • Gigantic Napkin allows you to hold the dodge button (mouse button or holding your finger down on a touch device) to hover. When hovering, you will be able to dodge some attacks more easily!

  • Stinky Sock is a weapon with high attack power, and which will inflict poison the enemies it hits. Despite the benefits, there’s also a downside: You will lose some of your HP every turn when carrying this weapon. So, while it can be a powerful weapon, it may also end up being your demise, if you’re not careful!

  • Balance Scale greatly lowers your HP but greatly raises your SP. This can be a double-edged sword, as you’ll be more vulnerable to enemy attacks, but will be able use powerful skills more often.

Item Ranks and Levels

Each item you can equip belongs to a certain rank, indicated by 1, 2 or 3 stars shown in the icon of the item in the menus. The rank gives a general indication about how strong the item is, with rank 1 items being the weakest, and rank 3 being the strongest.

Items can be upgraded in item workshop with gold. Upgrading items will increase how much they affect the status attributes of your hero.

The higher the rank of an item, the stronger it will get with each upgrade. On the downside, higher rank also means higher upgrade costs, so more gold has to be spent to max out your items.

The maximum levels for the items depend on their rank, and are as follows:

Item Rank
Item Max Level

1

10

2

20

3

30

Set Bonuses

Each item belongs to a specific set. If you equip more than 1 item of the same set, all of those items will have their stats multiplied. This effect is highlighted in the color of item slot in the equipment screen.

The set bonuses stack as follows:

Same Set Items Equipped
Boost Modifier

2

110%

3

120%

4

140%

5

200%

Sometimes it’s better to equip a bit weaker items that belong to the same set than the strongest ones you have, but which belong to different sets.
